Voice of Clo + ice cream launch

Overview: To promote Clover Dairy’s ice cream launch, we developed a 2-part audio campaign including a contest to develop usable UGC content, live reads with local radio talent, an exclusive flavor release in Whole Foods Market, and radio spots during peak listening hours to promote individual flavors.

  • Wave I, UGC Contest: Clo is the homegrown, Bay Area native mascot who has been seen but not heard for decades. For the brand refresh, we decided to give Clo a voice and encouraged local listeners to submit their auditions to become the voice of Clo for the upcoming craft ice cream product launch.

  • Wave II, Product Launch: The second wave of radio integrated the winner's audio into 12 radio spots showcasing the 12 new craft ice cream flavors. Our media team placed a unique radio buy where the first 30-seconds would be devoted to Clover Dairy and the next 30-seconds to Whole Foods Market, with Clover ice cream messaging tying them together.

I had the pleasure of working with multiple regions of Whole Foods Market, including Northern California, Southern Pacific, Rocky Mountain, and North Atlantic for 6+ years to produce a high volume of radio and online streaming spots for weekly sales, special promotions, and holiday ecommerce pushes. I would write script copy, fact-check with Whole Foods Market coordinators, work directly with voice talent and production, and traffic spots to radio stations weekly.
